The FLT Sandwich – The “F” stands for Fakin’

                                                 

This take on the classic BLT is great for a couple of reasons:

1) it uses healthy for you vegetarian bacon and

2) the rosemary brings a new element to the sandwich that is just awesome enough to make your taste buds sing, but not too much of an adulteration on this simple classic you know and love.

Feel free to substitute the real thing or turkey bacon at your own discretion.

The FLT Sandwich

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

2 slices whole wheat bread, toasted
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 sprig rosemary leaves, finely chopped
2 leaves iceberg lettuce
1/2 tomato, thinly sliced
4 to 6 slices vegetarian bacon, prepared as per instructions

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl mix mayonnaise and rosemary together.
  2. Spread mayonaisse mixture on both slices of toast. Compile remaining ingredients. Enjoy!
